Polyvia RHD

Reaction resin-bound thin coatings on steel

Reaction resin-bound thin coatings (RHD) combine an effective corrosion protection with an important additional benefit: they are perfectly suited for the creation of footpaths and roadways on steel and concrete surfaces.

The binding agent of our coating system Polyvia RHD is based on methyl methacrylate resin (PMMA). By interspersing chrome ore slags and quartz sand, an absolutely non-slip and wear-resistant coating is produced. Polyvia RHD has been tested in accordance with the guidelines of the Federal Highway Research Institute and listed in the summary of tested thin coatings according to ZTV-ING Part 7, Section 5 (Reaction resin-bound thin coatings).

The material can be excellently processed at object temperatures between 0-40°C. The finished coating is fit for walking and driving after a very short time because the curing speed cannot be compared with conventional EP or PUR coatings. In addition, Polyvia RHD is perfectly recoatable with itself after cleaning (repair work).

Applications include:
• Pavements and bicycle lanes
• Road surfaces
• Service walkways, kerbs
• Mobile track slabs
• D-bridge devices (temporary bridges)
